Living in an apartment and being a gardening enthusiast was once a difficult combination, dry environments are not exactly the most ideal for those looking to turn their living room into a makeshift greenhouse. It's very durable and doesn't need much sunlight however it will not survive in a dark corner. 5. Monstera Deliciosa


Commonly known as the 'Swiss Cheese Plant' with a nod to it's huge glossy cheese-shaped leaves. The 'Monstera delicios' Latin translation is 'delicious monster' which we agree, it will look pretty delicious in any apartment and will thrive wonderfully. Known to grow into great heights, its the perfect plant to nurture. It can survive with little water but does enjoy a spot of sunlight now and again.
