Each Quintain Living apartment is uniquely themed and designed, and our newest building, Luna, is no exception. Luna captures the mystery and elegance of moonlight, blending soft curves, bold contrasts, and rich textures to create an immersive atmosphere. To uncover the story behind Luna’s creation, we sat down with Sarah-Jane Harris from our mobilisation team. From materials and textures to exciting hidden features, Sarah-Jane shares an exclusive look behind the scenes of this striking new addition.
What was the inspiration behind Luna?
Luna takes its name from the Roman goddess of the moon—an idea that inspired the use of soft, spherical shapes throughout the design. These rounded forms are echoed across everything from architectural features to furniture choices, reinforcing a refined, modern aesthetic.
For Sarah-Jane, creating the right atmosphere was key. While this theme may typically be thought of as cold and stark, Luna deliberately flips that expectation. “It’s a bit like walking into a warm embrace”.
Luna leans into darker, twilight-inspired tones, “like those deep hues of blues and greys” to reflect the idea of the moonrise rather than sunrise. By using the deeper tones, Luna creates a space that feels cosy and relaxed. From the deep walnut kitchens and darker flooring to the woodwork on architraves and skirting boards, that sense of intimacy runs throughout.
She explained how natural light played a key role in shaping the building’s ambiance. “The lounge faces north, so it benefits from softer morning light, but becomes moodier and more subdued in the afternoon,” completing the darker colour palette and further playing into the aesthetic and atmosphere of the building.
This moon-inspired vision didn’t just guide the mood, it directly influenced the materials, textures, and overall architecture. “You’ve got a lot more smooth surfaces, but it’s still playing with those spherical, arched, and rounded moon-like shapes”. Materials were chosen to balance this softness with an ultra-modern feel. She explained how the design “introduced elements like concrete, hardwood, and steel” to add to the dynamic space. She went on to say how the “large, frameless mirror in the social space played with the reflection”, tying in beautifully with Luna’s smooth, lunar-inspired aesthetic.

Luna’s Standout Details
Among the many features in Luna, Sarah-Jane had a clear favourite: the Black Hole. “It’s this hidden lounge space behind a secret bookcase that’s unlike anything we’ve done before,” she says, highlighting how there’s “no booking tablet outside,” like in other Quintain Living apartments, “because we wanted it to feel exclusive. Like a secret.”
Inside, a bespoke table from The Furniture Practice takes centre stage. Made from composite material, the piece cleverly mirrors other finishes in the space. The table legs match the same finish used on the kitchen unit doors, helping to create a sense of cohesion. “There’s a light fixture above that reflects off the table in such a way that it looks like it’s floating”.
Even with the high ceilings, Sarah-Jane adds, “the space still feels intimate.” She continues, “You could host a full dinner party in there—it even has its own kitchen. It’s a space we’re incredibly proud of.”

What were the challenges in bringing Luna to life?
One of the biggest challenges, Sarah-Jane admitted, was achieving the right balance between aesthetic and functionality, especially in a building with 282 apartments. “It’s just trying to meet that perfect middle point,” she explained. “Finding that sweet spot that works for all our areas.” Apartments needed to feel comfortable and homely, while the shared social spaces had to offer more flexibility. “In the social lounge, we wanted people to feel welcomed to stay and relax,” she said, a different space, away from their apartment, where residents can come together and chill.
Each zone had its own requirements, but everything still needed to work together. “So, you kind of look at all the different elements independently,” she said, “but at the same time, as a design, it all has to blend harmoniously and seamlessly from apartment through to social spaces.”
A reflection of Wembley Park
While Luna is rooted in its celestial theme, Sarah-Jane also spoke about how its design draws from the history of Wembley Park, “Lots of arches were used in the design as a nod to the stadium's iconic shape.”
She goes on to add that in the Black Hole, the local connection and history continues with black and white photographs framed to highlight iconic events from the arena. “We wanted to tell their stories and celebrate the history of the stadium throughout this unique space.”

Luna’s amenities and premium apartments
Luna offers a range of high-quality amenities designed to suit a variety of lifestyles. From a fully equipped, high-spec gym to a resident lounge complete with an automatic coffee station, Sarah-Jane states, “they have become some of our residents’ favourite spots”. And then, of course, there’s the rooftop terrace, which includes BBQ facilities, plenty of seating, and incredible views of Wembley Stadium and the London skyline.
Inside the apartments, Sarah Jane highlights that thoughtful planning was key. From studios to three-bedroom apartments, Luna’s layout focused on creating homes that feel open but purposeful. “The studios are cleverly zoned,” she said. “There’s a real sense of separation between sleeping and living areas, which helps them feel more spacious.”
Luna also marks the launch of something new for Quintain Living: premium apartments. These apartments are integrated across the floors and make the most of the iconic stadium views.
However, what really sets these apart is the spec, especially in the kitchens and bathrooms. For example, the premium kitchens have Silestone worktops, with a Marengo finish, and tiled backsplashes that add that extra bit of polish.
Among the many standout features is the American-style fridge-freezer, complete with a plumbed-in ice dispenser—a first for Quintain Living. It marks, as Sarah-Jane put it, “a really exciting step up in both finish and feel.”

What makes Luna different from Quintain Living’s other apartment buildings?
Just like every Quintain living building, each one has its own clear identity, from a scandi-inspired building to the NY warehouse loft. Sarah-Jane goes on to state how “with Luna we tried something that we hadn’t really done before.” Luna explores the dynamics between light and dark, soft and bold – “it was all about that contrast that we could create”.
She claimed, “After building so many plots, creating something that still felt fresh and original was a real challenge, but I think we succeeded with Luna.” Although Luna doesn’t fall into a category like ‘Scandi’ or ‘minimalist’, it plays more with atmosphere, which was key in the design from the start.

A sneak peek of Solar, Luna’s twin building
Luna has a sister building called Solar, which is currently in the works. Solar is designed as a mirror image of Luna, positioned directly across the road, echoing the shape and ground plan of Luna’s. It’s the sun to Luna’s moon.
Where Luna is cool and moody, Solar is the lighter, earthier counterpart. You’ll see whitewashed wood, lighter colour palettes, and softer textures,” Sarah-Jane highlighted. “Even the reception desk is different - it’s designed to look like a cross-section of the Earth with layers that resemble rock and soil.” Overall, Solar has a really unique design that plays with these lighter, earthier tones, she emphasised.
Living in Luna
We asked Sarah-Jane to sum up Luna in just three words: “Cool, refined, and sleek.” The perfect mix. And when it came to her favourite space in Luna, there was no question - “Without a doubt, the Black Hole. That’s the space I’m most proud of.” “We’ve had private hire spaces in other buildings,” she noted, “but nothing like this.” Tucked away behind a secret bookcase, the Black Hole offers a sense of exclusivity that sets it apart. “It’s definitely my favourite space.”
It's clear that Luna is a building not just designed for living, but to bring a community together. So, whether you're looking for a new place to call home or simply curious about what makes our buildings special, Luna is well worth a closer look.
