The Best Things to Do in Wembley Park This Autumn

14 Sep 2022 Alex

The days are getting shorter and the weather is getting just that little bit chillier. Yes, autumn has very much arrived. But does that mean staying in? We certainly don’t think so - not when there’s so much to do this autumn across Wembley Park!

We believe that life’s better when great things are right on your doorstep, and that includes the best events and activities to brighten up any autumn day. We love to shout about the benefits of the 15-minute neighbourhood - so we’re here to share some of the best things to do in Wembley Park for Quintain Living residents that involve almost no travel at all.

We’ve put together our favourite activities that you can dive into, from BOXPARK Wembley to the London Designer Outlet and everything in between.

Our favourite Wembley Park activities

There’s so much to get stuck into this autumn across Wembley Park. Here are just some of our favourite activities.

1. Get lost in a virtual world

Bored of the real world and want to dive into something a little more exciting? Virtual reality, or VR, can make any day instantly more exciting by transporting you to places you could once only dream of.

At meetspaceVR, located conveniently in BOXPARK Wembley, you’ll get more than just a VR headset. You can physically walk around while in that 3D space and bring your friends into the adventure too. So if you’ve ever wanted to make your way out of mind-bending escape rooms or fight off a zombie invasion, this is the perfect day out.

And getting to BOXPARK is easy too - it’s just a 10 minute walk from some of our trendiest buildings, such as Ferrum

2. Challenge your friends and learn new skills

If you’re someone who gets a little bit competitive, there are plenty of activities this autumn where you can take on your friends - or even your kids! For guaranteed family fun, there are few options better than crazy golf. And if you want to make it even more exciting, check out Pop Golf in BOXPARK. Not only is it huge amounts of fun, the neon lights also make it great for those Instagram stories.

Perhaps you want to try something a little more unusual? Then it might be time to give axe throwing a try. You’ll get a full tutorial before showing off your skills over at Bad Axe. Make sure to bring your own lumberjack shirt!

3. Explore the Art Trail

Sunny days in autumn are the perfect time to get outside and go for a nice long walk. If you’re looking for free events and activities, check out the Art Trail, which is open until the end of October. There are 18 different colourful installations to explore. Many of them run right past our buildings too, including Beton and Madison.

If you’ve worked up an appetite from all that walking, why not also pair it up with one of the amazing brunch locations we have nearby?

4. Visit the local play parks

Here’s another great one for the families this autumn. Wembley Park boasts multiple well equipped and endlessly entertaining playgrounds. Head to Union Park and you’ll find more than enough to keep your little ones entertained, from swings to wooden climbing frames. There are even adventurous jungle gyms, climbing ropes and roundabouts.

If it’s a sunny day, you can also treat yourself to an ice cream. Parents, we’re including you here too.

What’s on: Wembley Park events

It’s time to start filling up that diary with all the exciting events coming up across Wembley Park. Here’s what we’re looking forward to.

1. Get spooked at the Haunted House Party

What comes to mind when you think of autumn? Probably crunchy leaves, pumpkin spice lattes and, of course, Halloween. As the nights get longer, it very much feels that the spooky season is upon us.

But if you like your Halloween more party than scary, make sure you check out the KISS Haunted House Party, located conveniently at the OVO Arena. Mabel, Craig David and N-Dubz will all be there, with the best tunes for you to dance the night away.

2. Celebrate those Friday feelings

What’s better than delicious street food? How about delicious street food and some of the hottest DJs providing the soundtrack to your evening? Get down to BEATBOX at BOXPARK Wembley for their Friday Feelings this November.

It’s the perfect way to unwind after a long week at work, so grab a drink, something delicious to eat and get ready to party with your friends. Tickets are free, but they are limited, so make sure you grab yours while you still can.

3. Feel creative over coffee

If partying isn’t your thing or if you’re looking for a more relaxed way to kick off your week, this autumn sees the return of Wembley Park’s Creative Coffee Mornings. The sessions are led by Jayshree Thacker, who has over 20 years of teaching experience and a background as a qualified artist.

Discover your new favourite creative outlet, from glass painting and origami to cross-stitch and journaling. There’s also coffee and plenty of good conversation with your lovely Wembley Park neighbours. And it all takes place at our local community hub, The Yellow.

4. Peaky Blinders as you’ve never seen it before

When the weather’s a little bit grim, we love heading inside and taking in a show. Nothing beats the spectacle of the theatre! And for something a little bit different, make sure you don’t miss the London premiere of Rambert Dance in Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre.

Inspired by the popular TV series, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is behind this first-of-its-kind adaptation. You can book your tickets now

With so many activities and events to get stuck into, autumn is one of the best times to get out and explore everything that Wembley Park has to offer. With some of the best things to do right on your doorstep, there’s no excuse for missing great days out, even as the nights draw in.
