What's changing and why?
Since the Renters' Rights Act come into place on 1 May 2026, fixed term tenancies have moved to rolling tenancies (also called periodic). Previously, the referral reward was tied to move-in date because to be eligible, your friend needed to be on a minimum 12-month tenancy.
As fixed term tenancies are no longer the case, from 1 June 2026 we're moving to your friend's 2-month anniversary as the new milestone to qualify for the referral award, with your reward issued within 40 working days of that date.
What does this mean for you?
• Your £250 Amazon.co.uk gift card reward stays exactly the same – for you and your friend
• The reward will arrive once your friend has hit their 2-month anniversary
• To be eligible, your friend must not be in arrears or have served notice on their apartment at the point the reward is issued
• Already referred a friend? If their reservation payment was made on or before 31 May 2026, we'll honour the old terms and issue your reward within 40 working days of their move-in date
Here's how it works...
1) Get your personal referral link
Open the Quintain Living Resident App, head to the 'My Account' > ‘My profile’, and find your personal referral link
2) Share with a friend
Share your referral link with any friend or colleague you know would make a great neighbour. They must use it to submit their first enquiry via your personal referral page (not through our main website, an agency or verbally through our Leasing team)
3) They enquire with us on your personal referral page
Using your link (which automatically includes your unique referral code), they’ll enquire with us and your name will be linked to the enquiry
4) Earn £250 for you & £250 for them
Once your friend has been living with us for 2 months, you'll both earn a £250 Amazon.co.uk gift card within 40 working days*

Looking to share your referral link? It's easy!
1) Open your resident app and head to the ‘My Account’ then ‘My profile’
2) Find your resident referral link – it’s ready to share with your referral code included
You can find an example of what it looks like below. If you can't see your referral code, it may be because your settings haven’t refreshed since we introduced the new referral link earlier this year. We recommend uninstalling the app, reinstalling it, and signing back in to refresh everything.
Once your referred friend reaches their 2-month tenancy anniversary, we'll arrange for both of you to receive your £250 Amazon.co.uk gift cards. You can expect yours within 40 working days of that date.
For example, if your friend's tenancy start date was 15 March, they would reach their 2-month anniversary on 15 May, and you could both expect to receive your gift card within 40 working days of that.
Please note: your referred friend must still be living with us, not in arrears, and not have served notice on their apartment at the point the reward is issued.
Your friend must use your resident referral link when they enquire – this ensures you get rewarded for the referral. Rewards can’t be backdated if they submit their first enquiry on our main website rather than through your personal referral page, so be sure to remind them to use your link.
No need to worry. If your friend's reservation payment was made on or before 1 June 2026, the original scheme terms still apply. You'll both receive your £250 Amazon.co.uk gift cards within 40 working days of your friend's move-in date.

Absolutely! There's no limit to how many friends you can refer at once. As long as each friend uses your personal referral link to submit their first enquiry, you'll earn a £250 Amazon.co.uk Gift Card for every successful referral. Unfortunately, the reward won't be issued to either of you. We check at the point of allocation (within 40 working days of the 2-month anniversary) that your friend hasn't served notice on their apartment or fallen into arrears.
