TV USAGE IN SOCIAL SPACES
In Quintain Living social spaces only
Due to licensing and copyright regulations, the use of broadcast television or online streaming on TVs in our social spaces is restricted. This is because social spaces are classified as public spaces, and different rules apply compared to personal use.
What can I watch on the TV?
• News channels only are allowed
• Live sports tournaments broadcast on channels like the BBC can be shown on a case-by-case basis. Contact your Resident team in advance to arrange this
What can’t I use the TV for?
• Watching any broadcast television other than news channels. This includes viewing cable or satellite
• Using streaming services (e.g. Netflix) or connecting personal devices via HDMI or wireless casting
• Playing DVDs, Blu-rays, or downloaded content
