SOLAR BUILDING FAQ

In here, you'll find all the handy information you need for our apartments in Solar.

Your safety is of paramount importance to us. If you have any questions or concerns about fire or safety, please ask a member of our team at the front desk and we will get back to you as soon as possible. You can also find a copy of our Fire Evacuation Policy, along with a short video on how to safely evacuate your apartment in a fire.

For anyone needing assistance evacuating from a social space, for example, if you are unable to use the stairs, ​​​please call your front desk number (0203 219 2165) and let them know where you are located. Depending on where you are, you'll find either a refuge point with an intercom system that allows you to call directly or a poster with the front desk number. View Solar's refuge point maps.

Our buildings have a waste management system that uses refuse chutes to transport waste from your apartment floor to the ground floor for removal. They are located on every floor in the area near the main lift lobby. You’ll find the cupboard clearly marked as ‘Refuse Chutes’. There are 3 types of chutes for organic, dry and non recyclables.

Your refuse chutes are located on each floor of the building. They are situated close to the stair core, you can see the map to the below that shows the location. For disposing of cardboard, large bin bags or boxes, we have a separate bin store room located on the ground floor, see the map for directions.

If you have any large bin bags, cardboard or boxes that you need to dispose of, we have a bin store located on the ground floor. You can find a map of how to get to it from the lifts in Block C & D.
